Summary of experience

Nineteen years of experience in remote sensing and image processing in the filed of active microwave data (Synthetic Aperture Radar and Wind SCatterometer) and multi-spectral data. In SAR domain experiences with airborne and spaceborne systems in absolute calibration (geometric, radiometric, polarimetric), speckle reduction, texture analysis, information extraction (qualitative and quantitative), polarimetry, interferometry, and data fusion SAR and multi-spectral. In WSC domain experiences in the global monitoring for agricultural purposes. In optical domain experiences with airborne and spaceborne systems in geometric and radiometric correction, as well as information extraction.

Jan. 1998 - date  sarmap: Director and SAR/multi-spectral algorithms development. Currently Principal and Co-Investigator of several ESA projects.

1996 - 1999 Research scientist at RSL, University of Zurich working on the development of an airborne SAR InSAR processor and spaceborne SAR applications in the domain of agriculture, forestry and snow.

1994 - 1996 Visiting scientist at NASA/JPL in the Radar Sciences and Engineering Section with focus on SAR data calibration, polarimetry, interferometry, and estimation of forest biomass using low frequency polarimetric SAR data.
